New Year’s Day 2012… the weather couldn’t have been more pleasant and the sun shining so brightly, welcoming us into the new year!

It couldn’t have been a more beautiful autumn day. Even the animals at the zoo were enjoying the October sun.

It’s impossible, said doubt
It’s dangerous, said fear
It’s unnecessary, said reason
But try anyway… whispered the heart ♥

I’ve been up since 3:30 this morning *sigh*… just when I thought I was going to rest my sleepy head, I got a sudden burst of inspiration to start writing for a new CD… Oh, I guess more sleepless nights are ahead of me. Can’t wait to start putting some ideas down .•*¨*•♫ ♥
Not too long ago, I co-wrote the song “She’s So Lonely” with french Artist, Hugo Cicuto, and with the artistic and musical collaboration of my producer, Rick McComas, the song came to life and has remained one of my favorites on the “In This Trance” CD. Needless to say, it was decided very early on that we would make a video for “She’s So Lonely”.
While planning the video shoot, I got news that Hugo was coming to the States (from France), and I thought what wonderful timing and wouldn’t it be amazing if he could be in the video, too? Well, I was lucky that everything was on my side and a few days after he arrived in the States, he flew to the west coast and we met up in Las Vegas and began shooting one of the scenes. What an incredible time I had.
So here it is, the “She’s So Lonely” video… enjoy!
LISTEN TO BEAUTIFUL LIE:
Beautiful Lie started in Los Angeles, and it took me to Las Vegas for pre-production, then to Orlando, Florida to record with drummer Danny Huff and bassist Jeffery Nelson, and then all the way back to California to finish it up with guitarist/artist, JK Northrup.

I have much to say about this song, which will probably be in some behind the music story I will tell at a later time. For now, I’d like to focus on guitarist, JK Northrup (I am sure many of you are already familiar with his work).
JK has a very impressive and long history in music, having worked with, toured with, recorded with, co-wrote songs with, and produced some of rock’s most familiar names. So the very melodic, incredible electric guitar you hear in “Beautiful Lie” is another amazing work of art from JK. You don’t want to miss the lead at the end…. SOOO NICE!!!
Aside from “Beautiful Lie”, JK played on several other tracks on the “In This Trance” CD, with equal artistry. In fact, all the great electric guitar leads on this CD are played by him, which we recorded at his studio in Sacramento, California.
The winter seemed long. There were days that felt too cold to get out of bed, even for California standards. I am noticing flowers everywhere. Their colors and scents often stop me in my tracks. Spring is here – not officially until tomorrow, but it’s here!!!
Well, many of you already know, my new CD, “In This Trance” will be out on April 11th. I am super excited! These days, we’ve been working and planning on a tour across the country and hope to meet you somewhere out there soon.
Please sign up to my email list so I can keep you better informed of our journey.
With warm thoughts… wishing you a beautiful new season with plenty of sunshine and lots of colorful moments ☼
Love, Tima
The making of the “In This Trance” CD was filled with lots of excitement – a dream come true actually. We did work in California, Las Vegas, Maryland, and Orlando. It was an adventure every step of the way. The best part was getting together with some of my favorite musicians and watching them do their thing… magical!!!
